GREEN
BEANS GRETEL

2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter
2 1 pound cans cut green beans
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 teaspoons horseradish
2 tablespoons chopped pimento
Drain beans - save liquid. Slowly
fry 2 tablespoons chopped onion in 2 tablespoons butter until tender.
Combine 1/4 cup bean
liquid with 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons vinegar and 2 teaspoons
cornstarch.
Add mixture to onions. Cook,
stirring until thickened and smooth. Blend
in 1 tablespoon prepared mustard, 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish, 2
tablespoons chopped pimento. Add
beans. Cook until heated through.
